가수 에릭남(Eric Nam)이 정규 4집 ‘Confessions of a Lonely Heart’를 발매하며 새로운 음악적 여정을 시작했다.
에릭남은 지난 16일 오후 1시 각종 음원 플랫폼을 통해 정규 4집 ‘Confessions of a Lonely Heart’를 공개했다. 총 9곡이 수록된 이번 앨범은 사랑과 외로움이 만들어내는 복잡한 감정을 중심으로, 집착과 후회, 자책을 지나 수용과 희망에 이르는 과정을 담아냈다.
에릭남은 앨범 전반의 작사와 작곡에 직접 참여하며 싱어송라이터로서의 음악적 색깔을 드러냈다. 누군가에게 사랑받고 싶으면서도 가까워지는 것을 두려워하는 모순적인 감정을 다양한 사운드와 이야기로 풀어냈다.
타이틀곡 ‘Psycho’는 강렬한 끌림이 집착으로 변해가는 순간을 표현한 곡이다. 감정의 통제력을 잃어가는 관계를 고조되는 에너지와 인상적인 코러스로 그려내며, 사랑과 집착 사이의 경계를 탐색한다.
수록곡 역시 각기 다른 감정의 단면을 담고 있다. ‘Reverie’는 환상과 몽상에 머물고 싶은 마음을, ‘Miss Me More’는 이별 후 상대가 자신의 부재를 느끼길 바라는 감정을 표현한다. ‘Sober Up’과 ‘Make Me Cry’, ‘How The Fire Started’는 그리움과 감정적 항복, 배신의 순간을 다루며, ‘Lighthouse’와 ‘Half As Much’는 관계 속 불안과 의지하고 싶은 마음을 노래한다. 마지막 트랙 ‘Someday’는 다시 사랑과 희망을 향해 나아가는 메시지로 앨범을 마무리한다.
최근 올마이애닉도츠(all my anecdotes)와 전속 계약을 체결한 에릭남은 음악뿐 아니라 방송, 패션, 영화 등 다양한 분야에서 활동을 이어왔다. 미국 서바이벌 프로그램 ‘더 트레이터스(The Traitors)’ 시즌4와 ‘아메리카 갓 탤런트(America’s Got Talent)’ 시즌21에 출연했으며, 2026 MTV 비디오 뮤직 어워즈와 뉴욕패션위크에도 참석했다.
또한 애니메이션 영화 ‘아바타 아앙: 더 라스트 에어벤더’의 성우 참여와 영화 ‘케이팝: 더 데뷔’ 출연을 확정하는 등 활동 영역을 확장하고 있다. 다양한 분야에서 활약해 온 에릭남은 이번 정규 앨범을 통해 다시 음악에 집중하며 한층 깊어진 감정과 이야기를 전한다.

Eric Nam Releases Fourth Studio Album ‘Confessions of a Lonely Heart’, Exploring Love, Loneliness, and Everything in Between
Singer-songwriter Eric Nam has returned with his fourth studio album, ‘Confessions of a Lonely Heart’, marking a new chapter in his musical career.
Released on October 16 at 1 PM KST, the nine-track album explores the emotional complexities of love and loneliness, tracing a journey through obsession, regret, and self-blame toward acceptance and hope.
Eric Nam contributed to the songwriting and composition throughout the project, bringing his perspective as a singer-songwriter to the forefront. The album captures the contradictions of modern relationships, particularly the desire to be loved alongside the fear of letting someone get too close.
The title track, ‘Psycho’, explores the moment when intense attraction begins to turn into obsession. Driven by escalating energy and a memorable chorus, the song examines the blurred line between love and losing control.
Each track offers a different perspective on emotional vulnerability. ‘Reverie’ reflects the desire to remain in a dreamlike state, while ‘Miss Me More’ captures the longing for a former partner to feel the weight of one’s absence. ‘Sober Up’, ‘Make Me Cry’, and ‘How The Fire Started’ explore longing, emotional surrender, and betrayal, while ‘Lighthouse’ and ‘Half As Much’ address insecurity and the need for connection. The album closes with ‘Someday’, returning to themes of love and hope.
Having recently signed an exclusive contract with all my anecdotes, Eric Nam has continued to pursue projects across music, television, fashion, and film. His recent activities include appearances on Season 4 of Peacock’s ‘The Traitors’ and Season 21 of NBC’s ‘America’s Got Talent’, as well as attending the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards and New York Fashion Week.
He has also confirmed a voice acting role in the animated film ‘Aang: The Last Airbender’ and an appearance in ‘K-Pop: The Debut’.
