The landmark event drew participants from across the world, showcasing talent across vocals, rap, dance, and performance.

Marking GALAXY’s first public audition campaign, the event signaled a major milestone in the company’s mission to fuse cutting-edge virtual technology with real-world artistry. Over 100 participants advanced from the initial online application stage to take part in this second round of offline auditions, traveling from Korea, Germany, Hawaii, and across the United States to compete for a chance to become members of GALAXY’s forthcoming virtual K-pop group — avatars powered by the performers’ voices, movements, and personalities.

The audition process was as immersive as it was innovative. Contestants were escorted backstage, hidden under umbrellas and guided by on-site representatives concealing their true identities to leave mystery and mystique to their talent. Once backstage, they were led to a green room where they awaited their turn to perform. Each round saw rappers, vocalists, and dancers take the stage, delivering a mix of original work and covers of artists including Lauryn Hill, Adele, and Justin Bieber.

Finalists from the Los Angeles auditions will advance in GALAXY’s debut campaign.
