깃털 달린 드레스에서 코르셋, 화려한 수트까지 시대를 가로지르는 향연

5월 2일 전 세계 셀리브리티들과 디자이너들이 한 자리에 모였다. 패션계의 아카데미상으로 일컬어지는 멧 갈라(Met Gala)는 뉴욕 메트로폴리탄 박물관의 '코스튬 인스티튜트(Costume Institute)'가 매년 주최하는 자선 갈라이다. 올해는 “미국의 패션 앤솔러지”를 주제로 열렸다. 최고의 게스트들이 초대되었고 드레스 코드는 “황금시대의 화려함과 격식을 갖춘 정장(Gilded Glamour and White Tie)”였다. 주제를 문자 그대로 따르거나, 현대적으로 비틀거나, 아예 규칙을 새롭게 창조한 참가자들로 행사장의 스타일은 활기에 넘쳤다.

The Met Gala

From feathered frocks, corseted dresses and exaggerated suits, the 2022 Met Gala was one for the ages.

On May 2, celebrities and designers from across the world came together for the event that is considered the Academy Awards of fashion. This year the 2022 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute (also known as the Met Gala) celebrated the theme “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.” The A-list guests ere asked to arrive in Gilded Glamour and white tie attire. The looks from the night were buzz-worthy with some attendees following the theme to the letter, others adding a modern twist, and some ignoring the rules altogether.

From Lizzo, Cardi B, Billie Eilish and everyone in between, here are some of the looks that you might have missed from the 2022 Met Gala:
