얼터너티브 케이팝 그룹 바밍타이거(Balming Tiger)가 영국의 권위 있는 뮤직비디오 시상식 ‘UK Music Video Awards 2026(UKMVA)’에서 총 3개 부문 후보에 올랐다.
바밍타이거는 정규 2집 ‘Gongbu’의 수록곡 ‘Keep On’으로 ‘Best Alternative Video – International’, ‘Oui’로 ‘Best Production Design in a Video’ 부문에 각각 노미네이트됐다. 멤버 이수호(Lee Suho)는 개인 부문인 ‘Best Director’ 최종 후보 6인에 이름을 올렸다.
2008년 시작된 UK Music Video Awards는 뮤직비디오의 연출, 촬영, 미술, 편집 등 영상 제작 전반의 창의성과 기술적 완성도를 평가하는 국제 시상식이다. 올해는 테일러 스위프트(Taylor Swift), 아리아나 그란데(Ariana Grande), 올리비아 로드리고(Olivia Rodrigo), 찰리 XCX(Charli xcx) 등 세계적인 아티스트들의 작품이 후보에 올랐다.
바밍타이거의 ‘Keep On’은 피비 브리저스(Phoebe Bridgers), 미츠키(Mitski) 등의 작품과 함께 후보에 선정됐으며, ‘Oui’는 테일러 스위프트와 아리아나 그란데, 올리비아 로드리고 등의 뮤직비디오와 경쟁한다.
특히 음악 프로듀서이자 비디오 디렉터인 이수호는 ‘Best Director’ 부문에 이름을 올리며 영상 연출자로서의 역량을 인정받았다. 해당 부문에는 에이단 자미리(Aidan Zamiri), 제이크 얼랜드(Jake Erland), 토르소(Torso) 등 국제적인 영상 감독들이 함께 후보로 선정됐다.
음악과 영상, 퍼포먼스를 결합한 독자적인 작업을 선보여 온 바밍타이거는 이번 후보 지명을 통해 음악뿐 아니라 비주얼 콘텐츠 제작 분야에서도 국제적인 주목을 받게 됐다.
한편, ‘UK Music Video Awards 2026’은 오는 11월 4일 영국 런던의 라운드하우스(The Roundhouse)에서 개최된다.

Alternative K-pop collective Balming Tiger has received three nominations at the UK Music Video Awards 2026 (UKMVA), a prestigious international awards ceremony recognizing excellence in music video production.
The group earned nominations for two tracks from their second studio album, Gongbu. “Keep On” is nominated for Best Alternative Video – International, while “Oui” is competing in the Best Production Design in a Video category. Balming Tiger member Lee Suho has also been named one of six finalists for Best Director.
Established in 2008, the UK Music Video Awards celebrates creativity, innovation, and technical excellence across music video production, recognizing directors, cinematographers, production designers, editors, and other visual artists. This year’s nominees include works by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli xcx, and other internationally recognized artists.
“Keep On” joins music videos by Phoebe Bridgers and Mitski in the Best Alternative Video – International category. Meanwhile, “Oui” competes against videos by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Olivia Rodrigo for Best Production Design in a Video.
Lee Suho, who serves as both a music producer and video director for Balming Tiger, has also secured a nomination for Best Director. He joins an international shortlist featuring Aidan Zamiri, Jake Erland, Torso, and other acclaimed directors.
Known for their distinctive approach to music, visuals, and performance, Balming Tiger continues to expand its creative presence internationally. The three nominations highlight the collective’s growing recognition not only for its musical identity but also for its visual storytelling and production work.
The UK Music Video Awards 2026 ceremony will take place on November 4 at The Roundhouse in London.
