어느덧 데뷔 20년 차를 맞은 한국 소울 음악 1세대 선구자 격인 뮤지션 정기고. 그는 오랜 경험과 인사이트를 바탕으로 KPOP을 사랑하는 전 세계의 리스너에게 한국의 전도유망한 예술가들을 소개하고 있다.
SOULBYSEL(소울바이서울)은 “아이돌 산업으로서의 KPOP을 넘어 KRNB(케이알앤비)라는 수식어로 대변되는 아이돌이 아닌, 아이돌을 제외한 한국의 모든 재능있는 뮤지션들을 서포트하고 소개하는 프로젝트를 준비하고 있다”고 알렸다.
급하지 않게 차곡차곡 쌓아나갈 장기 프로젝트 SOULBYSEL(소울바이서울)은 컴필레이션 앨범을 필두로 아시아 전체를 큐레이션 하는 플랫폼으로 확장해나갈 계획이라고.
앞서 SOULBYSEL(소울바이서울)은 컴필레이션 앨범인 ‘SOULBYSEL Compilation 01’과 ‘SOULBYSEL Compilation 02’를 발표하며 그들이 엄선한 취향을 대중에게 전달한 바 있다.
SOULBYSEL(소울바이서울)은 ‘SOULBYSEL Compilation 03’를 발매함으로써 이번에도 KPOP/KRNB를 즐겨듣는 전 세계의 음악팬들에게 한국의 훌륭한 아티스트들을 알린다.
Yonko, b!ni, FIRSTSEX, DORI, Claire Hau, EXN, ROMderful, I.M, SEN, Lilith The Moonlan, MRSHLL 등이 세 번째 큐레이션 앨범의 주역이다.
롤링스톤 코리아는 세 번째 큐레이션 앨범에 참여한 아티스트들에게 앨범에 참여한 곡에 대한 소개와 소감 등을 청했고, 그들은 답했다.
한편, ‘SOULBYSEL Compilation 03(소울바이서울 세 번째 큐레이션 앨범)’은 모든 음원 플랫폼에서 감상할 수 있다.

SOULBYSEL is KPOP/KRNB-specialized curating content planned by the musician Junggigo as the director.
Musician Junggigo has reached his 20th year since the debut and is essentially the 1st generation trailblazer of the Korean soul music. Based on his longstanding experience and insights, Junggigo is introducing talented artists of Seoul in Korea to numerous worldwide listeners who love KPOP and Korean music.
SOULBYSEL revealed, “We are preparing a project that supports and introduces all phenomenal musicians of Korea, excluding idols. These musicians go beyond KPOP as an idol industry and are referred to as KRNB.”
In addition, SOULBYSEL is a long-term project that will be strongly built without rushing, and starting with the compilation album, it will expand into a platform that curates entire Asia.
SOULBYSEL already presented us their selected taste through their compilation album “SOULBYSEL Compilation 01 & 02.”
This time, SOULBYSEL is once again presenting fabulous Korean artists to avid fans of KPOP/KRNB across the globe with their “SOULBYSEL Compilation 03.”
The leads of this third compilation album are Yonko, b!ni, FIRSTSEX, DORI, Claire Hau, EXN, ROMderful, I.M, SEN, Lilith The Moonlan, MRSHLL and more.
Rolling Stone Korea requested the artists who partook in the third compilation album to introduce their songs in the album and their impressions, and below were their responses.
