코르티스(CORTIS)가 인스타그램에서 K-팝 그룹 역대 최단기간 1500만 팔로워 기록을 세웠다.

코르티스(마틴, 제임스, 주훈, 성현, 건호)의 공식 인스타그램 팔로워 수는 지난 5일 1500만 명을 넘어섰다. 지난해 8월 첫 게시물을 올린 지 약 1년 만이다. 최근 5년 내 데뷔한 K-팝 그룹 중 이 기록을 세운 팀은 코르티스가 유일하다.

8일 오전 10시 기준으로는 틱톡(TikTok) 1582만, 유튜브 624만 구독자를 각각 보유해 최근 5년 내 데뷔한 K-팝 보이그룹 가운데 최다 수치를 기록했다. 압도적인 SNS 파급력을 다시 한번 확인시킨 셈이다.

특히 지난 8월 1일(현지시간) 미국 대형 음악 축제 '롤라팔루자 시카고'(Lollapalooza Chicago) 무대 직후 팔로워 상승세가 눈에 띄게 가팔라졌다. 5만 관중을 사로잡은 라이브 무대의 반응이 SNS를 타고 빠르게 퍼지며 신규 팔로워 유입에 힘을 보탠 것으로 풀이된다.

음원 성적도 이런 흐름을 뒷받침했다. 미니 2집 타이틀곡 'REDRED'(레드레드)는 스포티파이 '위클리 톱 송 글로벌'(7월 31일~8월 6일 집계) 189위에 오르며 15주 연속 차트인을 이어갔다. '위클리 톱 송 한국'에서는 15주째 1위 자리를 지키고 있다. 미국 빌보드 최신 차트(8월 8일 자)에서도 '글로벌 200' 109위, '글로벌(미국 제외)' 63위에 오르며 14주 연속 순위권에 이름을 올렸다.

한편, 코르티스는 오는 16일까지 애틀랜타(8일), 로스앤젤레스(13일) 등 북미 6개 도시를 도는 투어 '2026 CORTIS TOUR <PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN> IN NORTH AMERICA'로 글로벌 팬들과의 접점을 넓히고 있다. 이후 8월 22~23일 서울 고려대학교 화정체육관, 9월 4~6일 일본 가나가와 피아 아레나 MM 무대에 오른다. 이 밖에도 9월 20일 일본 지바 '록 인 재팬 페스티벌 2026'(ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2026), 10월 9일 '포뮬러 원 싱가포르 그랑프리'(Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix) 무대도 앞두고 있다.

CORTIS set a new record as the fastest K-pop group ever to reach 15 million Instagram followers.

The group's official Instagram account — Martin, James, Juhoon, Sunghyun and Gunho — crossed the 15 million follower mark on Aug. 5, roughly a year after its first post last August. Among K-pop groups that debuted within the past five years, CORTIS is the only act to hit this milestone.

As of 10 a.m. on Aug. 8, the group also led all K-pop boy groups that debuted within the past five years on both TikTok (15.82 million) and YouTube (6.24 million), reaffirming its outsized reach across social platforms.

The growth accelerated notably after the group's Aug. 1 (local time) performance at Lollapalooza Chicago, one of the largest music festivals in the U.S. The enthusiastic response from the 50,000-strong crowd is believed to have spread quickly online, fueling a wave of new followers.

Chart performance backed up the momentum. 'REDRED,' the title track from the group's second mini album, ranked No. 189 on Spotify's latest Weekly Top Songs Global chart (tracking July 31–Aug. 6), marking its 15th consecutive week on the chart. On the Weekly Top Songs Korea chart, it has held the No. 1 spot for 15 straight weeks. On Billboard's latest chart (dated Aug. 8), the track also placed at No. 109 on the Global 200 and No. 63 on Global Excl. U.S., extending its run to 14 consecutive weeks on both.

Meanwhile, CORTIS is currently touring North America with '2026 CORTIS TOUR <PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN> IN NORTH AMERICA,' hitting six cities through Aug. 16, including Atlanta (Aug. 8) and Los Angeles (Aug. 13). The group will then perform at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul on Aug. 22–23, followed by shows at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa, Japan, on Sept. 4–6. CORTIS is also set to appear at Rock in Japan Festival 2026 in Chiba on Sept. 20 and the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix on Oct. 9.
