ATEEZ member HONGJOONG successfully completed his first solo festival appearance and DJ performance under the name “NO1.”
HONGJOONG took the stage on October 4 at the 2026 Electric Daisy Carnival Korea, also known as EDC Korea, held at INSPIRE Entertainment Resort in Incheon.
Listed on the official EDC Korea lineup as “NO1 (HONGJOONG),” he performed a one-hour set from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the outdoor CIRCUIT GROUNDS stage.
The performance carried particular significance as it marked HONGJOONG’s first festival appearance as a solo artist outside of ATEEZ. Following the event, EDC Korea introduced the set as his DJ debut, while ATEEZ’s official social media accounts also shared behind-the-scenes photos referring to him as “DJ NO1.”
For the performance, HONGJOONG personally participated in the remixing and arrangement of tracks included in the setlist. Songs by ATEEZ were also reworked into new versions tailored to the atmosphere of an EDM festival, presenting a different side of the group’s familiar sound.
According to his agency, HONGJOONG was actively involved throughout the process, from song selection to the overall sound design, incorporating his own musical identity into the set.
Having consistently contributed to songwriting and composition throughout his career with ATEEZ, HONGJOONG used the “NO1” stage to further expand his creative range beyond his role as a performer, highlighting his capabilities as both a DJ and producer.
One of the defining elements of the performance was the way HONGJOONG reinterpreted his music within the entirely different setting of a large-scale EDM festival.
Rather than simply playing existing ATEEZ tracks, he reconstructed the songs through new remixes and arrangements, shaping them into a cohesive DJ set and revealing a distinct musical direction under the separate identity of “NO1.”
Fans as well as festivalgoers gathered at CIRCUIT GROUNDS for HONGJOONG’s performance, with videos shared online capturing the crowd responding enthusiastically throughout the set.
Reactions also followed across social media, particularly toward the EDM reinterpretations of ATEEZ songs and HONGJOONG’s first full-scale DJ performance.
First launched in Los Angeles in 1997, EDC has grown into one of the world’s largest electronic dance music festivals. Since establishing Las Vegas as its flagship location, the festival has expanded internationally to destinations including Mexico, Brazil and Japan.
The 2026 edition of EDC Korea was held from October 3 to 4 at INSPIRE Entertainment Resort. The lineup featured HONGJOONG alongside major electronic artists including Tiësto, FISHER, Alok, W&W, Nico Moreno, TroyBoi and TOKiMONSTA.
As the leader of ATEEZ and an artist who has steadily built his identity through songwriting, composition and production, HONGJOONG’s first DJ performance as “NO1” marked another expansion of his artistic spectrum and offered a glimpse into the direction of his future individual music activities.
