Anitta, The Brazilian Nymph Who Rocks the world

Tell us today to the South Korean public and all of Asia, apart from Anitta, there is this wonderful woman, Larissa de Macedo Machado. How was this journey of blossoming from Lariza to Anitta?
Personally, as Larissa, I am a very different person, very different from the person I am as an artist. In my personal life I was a little insecure, I had a lot of fears and when very strong things happened to me on a personal level that left me very hurt, I felt the need to create a character, who did not have all those things that I have, and over time . learn a lot with this, positive things,

How do you manage to preserve that authenticity, continue to be happy and be that whole woman that you are despite this whole situation?
I think it's focusing on everything that happens in my life, I try to give a classy response through art, you know?
“Many times when I see injustices or hypocritical people being inconsistent with what they say, I really get sad, but then an answer comes to me from the universe that says: - I am always on the right path. When we do things with a good intention, with a pure and sincere purpose, life always answers you very well.”
I always try to do my things with a good intention, I think about the purpose of life and it has never been for the purpose of making money, or to be the most famous, I don't care about numbers much less feeling superior to someone, that is vain. It is always in the name of art and kindness, to change the negative way things are perceived.

Sometimes in my character I was more outgoing than I was in my real life. Sometimes I became more flirtatious and crazier than I really was in my life, but precisely with the desire to provoke people to think that we should not judge people for expressing themselves. If she is a person of good character, who does not harm anyone, she can do whatever she wants to do, and this is my message as an artist.
I like to make them reflect on the hypocrisy, many times men and society demonize women and classify them as if they only served one purpose, they segregate, they say that there are women to work, there are women to love, there are women to fuck. You Know? And I like to convey the message that we are each worthy of respect and have the same right to be women who simultaneously experience work, family, sexuality, all at the same time. Because when a man presents himself like this, we don't think, ah, this man is for loving, this man is for fucking, we don't make this difference.

[RSK] Well, that is no exception in any culture, it has been a little difficult to earn a dignified place as women in the world, we do not generalize but sometimes when we share with another culture and even our own we live in a situation in which we are judged by the difference when expressing ourselves, in art, fashion, personal care even due to body type,
Yes, but look, this happened a lot with me in Brazil too, when I started, I was not free like today, things were not like that. People forget because everything is fine now. 14 years ago I started doing my things in Brazil, at this time, the women who sang the things I sang were seen without dignity as streetwalkers in the country, prostitutes.
“I wanted to change that degrading meaning.
I wanted to express the fact that I like to enjoy life at the same level that men seem to only be entitled does not make me any less worthy of respect and value.”
When I started doing this in Brazil, many doors were closed because I was seen as a bad image for women. It was very difficult for me to find a boyfriend who would take me seriously, but I didn't care at all, I knew that one day I would find someone who would love me just the way I am, and I don't care either, I'm interested in the man who has this type of biased vision, I am interested in the man who has the vision of supporting women in that women can do everything that he can with equality.
I always felt in a position to be united with women with the purpose of changing things, to change this sexist vision and myself, and this has happened very well, Brazil is having a very good moment. There is still a lot to change and to improve , but we have already come a long way,
5. [RSK] Not only in Brazil, you have motivated a global change, it is an initiative that you have taken to the world,
Wow! That makes me very happy. Normally female singers who can sing all the things that I sing, but when you see for their lives they do not act with this same security or freedom, they are still afraid of living the things that they sing, I do not have this fear, I act as I sing the things that I sing. . , I speak what I want, if I am happy with something, if I feel like it, if I want something, And well, if all men are singing this without any social judgment, well...Why are you surprised? When do you see a woman do exactly this?
I am the same in all environments, I want people to appreciate me as a free person.
6. [RSK] We are going to talk about the super boom we enjoyed last year, your collaboration with the South Korean group TXT, it not only sounded on Western platforms but on Asian platforms it was the novelty of the moment, we are all dying to know how this experience was connected to your path?
Excellent! I'm very happy to know that, I loved this song and the guys are very kind, very dear, I made great friends there. They are very sweet.
It was actually an idea of my director, my manager and my team. They worked hard, they contacted the guys and when I heard about them I said: ah, this is a very good idea, the group is super good, and yes, I loved the work!
K-pop culture is also very big and I love the way they work, they take everything seriously. And the focus, they are very focused on the dream they have. So, I approach it too, but in a different way. , more relaxed, I think that depending on each country the dynamics are different, people carry out their work with a little more tension, pressure.
I like to work with joy, doing the things that I like, that I think I will enjoy, you know? So it's different, we Latinos have this, but it's cultural.
Surely we also learn a lot of things with South Korean culture, discipline and organization, we are inspired to plan things very well and act with a little more preparation. It's all very detailed and organized, personally they were inspiring.
7. [RSK] Very few artists have the courage and discipline that you have had to delve into cultures, not only through knowledge of music, but also through learning languages. What motivated this learning? Yes, I really do. I remember I heard you in a collaboration song completely in Spanish with Jbalvin and
And it was almost imperceptible that you were not native spanish speakers,
At this moment I'm still learning. Well, this happens to me naturally. I learned Spanish because a song of mine from Brazil, Show das Poderosas, was very popular in Spain, 13 years ago and well at this time I traveled to Spain to sing at a radio festival called Los 40 Principales and when I got there I didn't understand anything that people were talking about, I felt very bad because I love to communicate, so when I returned to Brazil the first thing I did was study Spanish.
It helps me a lot with languages, listening to music, watching series and movies. I learned it when I started listening to the songs of various urban artists and I loved it.
I started to get to know these artists and I said: -oh, I love this reggaeton rhythm, I had never heard it and it is not so popular in Brazil. Everything was very natural, it made me want to do it and I started like that for fun.
8. [RSK] In fact, I have seen several times you comment that Brazilian funk was not a rhythm that could be heard freely in your country and with your success you have not only eliminated this bias, but you have positioned it in the world market, how does this happen?
Yes, in Brazil, the funk, when I started, was considered a crime, you couldn't sing. Many of the funk singers were being imprisoned, because it was a street rhythm and the people who made the rhythm came from the favelas, which is where I grew up and was born. These people, because of singing their reality, were targets of the government; they were deprived of their freedom arguing that their music encouraged crime. I always saw this the opposite.
I think that when the government does not provide attention or education or anything for the poorest people and communities, neighborhoods, favelas, it obviously means that when you are going to sing you are going to do it about what you know and if what you know is reduced, it is limited, you are going to sing with your limitations.
“My idea was to start making this rhythm but singing about empowerment, about united, powerful women who work. At that time you couldn't play funk on the radio. What I did was change the productions of the songs to pop. And when people went to the concert, I played a funk version.
I started making funk covers, and with the arrival of the internet, Spotify and YouTube, funk covers had a lot of numbers. So the voice of the people was what changed all this and I worked too hard for this funk to be accepted.”
I had very big fights with very important, very powerful people in the country, festivals and awards, people who did not want to accept funk, until today when it is heard everywhere, when it is finally very accepted.
The reason why it is very accepted today is because at one time I understood that the people of Brazil were only going to respect funk when people abroad began to respect funk.
Brazil has a lot of that: oh it's international, it's valuable if it's not, it's worthless and when I started doing this and managed to get artists likeSnoop Doggto sing funk with me,Madonna, all these people to be with me in my work and also Roberto Carlos, a highly respected singer in Brazil.
The population began to put an end to prejudice and put funk in everything. Now my hope is that people from outside Brazil start doing funk too, because they already like it a lot, people already listen, since I releasedVai Malandraand thenBola Rebola, people are enjoying it, but there is still nothing in Spanish and funk English so artists can learn how to make funk.
This is the intention of my new album. They are rhythms that really appeal a lot and even if you don't understand the language, you like it.
9. [RSK] Would you be open to working with a K-pop artist again? Suddenly invite them to some funk song?
Yes of course I would love to. Total. They are incredible. If it were funk, even more so. I think that many K-pop people are super aware of the funk rhythm, also from Japan, not only from Korea, in Japan they love to dance to funk.
It would also be a very good mix because they love the rhythm, for example in “Back for more” we added a little bit of funk for us, it was very incredible.
10. [RSK] Well, let's talk about another facet that was also a great project, your role in Elite, where we saw you debut as an actress.
Many people spoke very highly of this to me. I felt super happy doing it. And it's something I want to do more. And after this album and the tour, I will surely continue to dedicate my time to this as well because it is something that I really liked doing, people spoke very well.
I didn't expect so many people to give good comments, many actor friends of mine said: wow, I didn't think you could do this, others said: I know that everything you want to do is going to be good.
11. [RSK] It is clearly the characteristic of the energy you project, that of a brave and confident woman,
But, I'm afraid! I don't like doing anything poorly done, if I'm going to do it, I want to do it perfectly, Incredible.
Sometimes I get scared!!! . In Elite, for example, I was super, nervous and I said, - oh my God, I'm screwed! . To read the scripts we have rehearsals, during the reading I felt bad, but on the day of recording everything was different, I have this, in rehearsals I am normally hesitant... But when the director says -recording-, then something happens and It suits me well.
The actors, my colleagues there in Elite said: - what happened? , that when reading we think what the hell, we're screwed, she does it very badly. -

12. [RSK] What is Anitta's creative process like? We stand out for having unprecedented shows, which involve the audience and make them experience everything that happens on stage, people really pay their ticket with the certainty of witnessing a unique and unforgettable show,
Well, since I'm not the greatest artist in the world, I don't have the budget to do huge and very crazy things. I have money to do beautiful things and what I really deliver is something that no money can pay for, it is energy, quality sound and a very elaborate original dance show.
The thing about my concerts is that I like the idea of not having anything on stage other than myself, my dance crew and a simple but beautiful outfit, shorts and a white t-shirt, nothing more, that people feel the energy of the fun, people go to the concert to feel that connection like Wow! What a vibe it gets!
The main thing is energy, which we know very well that we have in Brazil and when someone goes to a Brazilian party they think: Wow! I have never been in something like this in my entire life, because we have this spirit of joy, of sharing,
I enjoy being on stage to direct this energy so that the person feels that they will have these two hours well invested in a unique presentation.
13. [RSK] Ok Anitta, finally please share what this World Tour FUNK EXPERIENCE is going to be like, which already looks like it will be successful due to the fact that it has been sold out since the pre-sales,
Well, I am already confirmed and I started in some but in total I will be in 20 cities, I am really very excited because it is a new proposal, bringing a concert of a rhythm that people do not know in these countries. So, it's a challenge to really present the rhythm, I'm super happy.
