Overwhelming the Audience with Thornapple's Signature Live Performance On the 31st, the band Thornapple took the stage at the '2026 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival', marking their return to Pentaport after nine years. Audiences who had waited a long time for this performance filled the venue to capacity. Despite the sweltering heat exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, Thornapple heightened the atmosphere with their powerful sound and overwhelming live performance. Kicking off the show with a brass arrangement of 'Magician', Thornapple consecutively performed 'Planetarium'—the title track of their EP 'My Century'—along with 'Extinction', 'The Sea, Cloud, and Stage', and 'Acacia'. They elicited an enthusiastic response from the audience through their high-density playing and impeccably crafted stage. In particular, 'Acacia', which was revealed live for the first time since its release, was one of the highlights of the day's performance. The heavy bass and intricate drums created a tight tension, while Jo Young-yoon of YUDABINBAND and Jang Kyung-min of Lacuna participated as sessions to deliver an even richer sound. The harmony with the brass session added a new layer to Thornapple's distinctive sound, leaving a fresh impression. During the following track, 'Cicadas Sing Even When It Rains', the roaring guitar riffs combined with the cheers of the crowd to further intensify the heat. For the final song, 'Pale Blue Spring', a massive sing-along echoed throughout the venue, and the roughly 50-minute stage concluded amidst thunderous cheers. Despite performing at Pentaport after a long hiatus, Thornapple demonstrated unwavering live vocals and veteran performance skills, once again proving their presence as a representative act in the Korean band scene. Thornapple member Yoon Sung-hyun expressed his overwhelmed feelings, saying, "How did I live without doing something this great?" An 'Human-Faced Sheep Fan Verification Event' was also held to celebrate their Pentaport appearance after nine years. This event offered a ticket to the 'My Century' concert and an autographed slogan to participants who uploaded a proof shot with a fan featuring the human-faced sheep from their EP 'Animal' cover. Over 200 fans and audience members participated, creating another fun element of the festival with unique verification photos. In particular, the scene where people waved human-faced sheep fans and sang along when 'Extinction' resounded created an exotic view. Meanwhile, Thornapple is gearing up for their solo concert 'My Century'.
